- PREVALENCE OF MYIASIS AND IDENTIFICATION OF CAUSAL FACTORS WITH THERAPEUTIC RESPONSE IN CATTLE

Description: Myiasis is an ectoparasitic cutaneous infection of the domesticated animals including cattle causing serious economic loss in livestock sectors. The present research work entitled ‘prevalence of myiasis and identification of causal factors with therapeutic response in cattle’ will be conducted at sador upazila of Dinajpur district. The duration of the study will be one year and the laboratory works will be done in the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpurt. The cattle brought to the Sador Veterinary Hospital and Veterinary Teaching Hospital, HSTU for disease diagnosis and therapeutic puposes will be considered as the experimental animals. The epidemiological factors of the disease, isolation and identification of the associated causal factors, managemental approaches of the disease using different therapeutic interventions will be done. The data produced during the course of the experimentation will be recorded and organized systematically, and analyzed statistically.
