Basically a residential university HSTU has at present four Halls of students residence, each providing comfortable facilities of study to the students. Some local students, however, live off the campus but attached to the Hall of their choice. The residential halls provide cafeteria system food mainly of Bangladeshi cuisine; facilities for indoor games, newspapers and Dish Television. The campus is remarkable for its natural beauty with an aura of serenity. The campus life is very peaceful. There exists cordial relationship among students, teachers and official staff who go about their business like members of a large family. Students have at their disposal a fast expanding moderate size library providing internet facility and photocopy machines. There are computer centre, Engineering workshop, laboratories for practical class and research. The halls of residence are a short walk from the faculties. The campus has on its premises shops, restaurant, saloon and other utilities. The university runs its own regular bus services for the benefit of the students residing off the campus. It also provides transport to down-town for shopping and entertainment. |
